Chris Hartley has over 25 years experience as a professional motorsport commentator - working throughout the UK and internationally on live television broadcasts, highlights TV coverage and live event commentary.
In the UK, he's the lead circuit commentator for the British Touring Car Championship, part of Silverstone's commentary team for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix and a regular voice at Chris Evans' annual CarFest events.
In 2019, Chris was also on the World Rally Championship's live big screen commentary team for the most recent edition of the Wales Rally GB and he's been the TV commentator for Europe's leading endurance racing category - the Fun Cup - since 2004. In addition, Chris has provided live circuit commentary at more than 400 national and club motorsport events across the UK since 2000.
Internationally, Chris is the live world-feed television commentator for the DTM. It's Europe's most popular touring car championship and Chris' commentary goes out live to broadcasters in more than 60 countries worldwide - including BT Sport in the UK. He also provides voice-overs for all of the DTM's online content and commentary for all of the championship's international highlights programmes, broadcast internationally and on BT Sport and ITV4 in the UK.
Over the last decade, Chris has also travelled across Europe and the Middle East - providing live world-feed commentary for high profile international motorsport championships including Formula Renault Eurocup, GT Masters, FIA European Formula 3, Porsche Carrera Cup, the Monza Rally Show and the Nürburgring 24 hours.
Away from motor racing, Chris has travelled the world reporting for Sky Sports TV productions on events as diverse as the University Winter Games, Squash World Tour, X-Cat Powerboat World Series, Archery World Championships and the Women's Ten Pin Bowling World Championship.
He's also provided TV highlights commentary on Boardercross, Ski Cross, Squash, Powerboating and Waterski racing.
